What's new? Oodles of goodies! We got in hilarious new 12x12 panels of stickers from Paper Element, and great new overlays and papers in. Plus new softball, t-ball, and wrestling embellishments. Amusement park paper and stickers have also arrived. In the tools department we got in more tape runner refills and UHU glue sticks at long last, and I ordered ALOT! because I was going through withdrawal from my favorite adhesives :-) Kneaded rubber erasers, which are among the world's greatest erasers are in. Not only do they do the normal stuff (like erase incredibly well) but you can also mold them into shapes while you are thinking (mine is currently an elephant). Speaking of adhesives, the glue pads are in. I've been watching these for a long time, and everyone says these are the best. Now you can stamp an image and shake glitter on and voilá it stays! And speaking of stamps, new stamps are in from those crazy fun ladies at River City Rubberworks including ribbon stamps for our BIG SCRAP PINK WEEKEND! and a few special orders from, you, our customers :-) Be sure to watch the Charles City paper for our ad and a coupon in their Coupon Daze issue (it's a good one!) Scrap Pink Weekend featuring the Scrap Pink Crop and the Pink Ladies of Plum Crazy September 28-30 Plum Crazy is going Pink Crazy this weekend while we raise money to find a cure for breast cancer. Everything this weekend is about pink! * We will be hosting a crop on September 29 from 1 to 5PM. You all are invited to create layouts and projects celebrating the special women in their lives. * Layouts created can be entered into a national contest judged by a panel of scrapbookers, with an opportunity to win a variety of prizes! * Prizes are also being awarded at our shop during the crop for the most creative pink outfit and most creative name tag. * Plus any and all pink products will be 10% off! To ensure adequate space and supplies for everyone, we recommend that participants call to reserve a space for the Scrap Pink crop. Scrap Pink Movie Night! $5, September 28, 6-??? Our usual movie crop night fair will get a pretty in pink makeover. We'll slumber party style it, with pajamas, pigtails, and polish, pink refreshments, plus a nifty make 'n take or two, and our old favorite POPCORN! Scrap Pink Crop! $20 September 29 1-5 pm Our big event for this September, we'll be croppin' for a cure. $10 of every crop fee gets donated to finding a cure for breast cancer. Everyone who comes to the crop gets a $10 gift certificate and a chance at fabulous prizes. We'll be having contests for best nametag and most creative pink outfit and we will even have a drawing for an incredible huge Think Pink Scrappin' Slumber Party Kit which you can drop by ogle along with all month long:-) (that is until September 29 when it goes home with you and your girlfriends!) Scrap Pink Card Class $15, September 30, 1 pm We'll make 5 lush little cards with a theme. Love Hope Faith and Cure. Lots of really lovely techniques and extra special papers that you can take and apply to other projects. Come by and see them on display at the shop. Diamond Folding $10, September 24th, 6-7pm In this class, you will learn a special technique that you can use on scrapbook pages/cards. It's quick and easy to do, using a template, a pencil, and a X-acto knife to create designs for your projects. Bring a X-acto knife, bone folder, and a pencil. Family $20, September 15th, 2-4 pm In this class, we will be stitching our way in designing an exquisite layout that family members will cherish for years to come!! This is a great project for current or heritage family portraits. Bring a basic tool kit and a 5x7 family photo. Quick Cards in a Snap! $15, September 26th, 4-5:30 pm Just for the beginner cardmaker, these cards are easy to make with step-by-step instructions. We will create 4 cards for different occassions. Are you up for the Challenge?? If Michelle says if she can make these anyone can! You won't need any tools, just bring yourself! and coming up OCTOBER 12-14 our first ever Plum Crazy RETREAT at the Dairy Barn Bed and Breakfast! We are so excited! The theme is Notions and Potions appropriate to the season. We are having a guest artist come in and teach 3 amazing (really really cool) classes which you can see here at the shop. You can take the classes separately or stick around and spend the whole weekend and have all your meals, activities, access to all our tools, and other shenanigans (and you know when we all get together there will be shenanigans) all included!
